SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping . -- Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander Patrick Corbin has a partially torn ligament in his left elbow that may require season-ending surgery. Corbin said Sunday said he has a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament and is getting a second opinion with noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews before deciding whether to try to rehab the injury or have surgery. "This all new to me," he said. "Ive never been hurt before, so Im just trying to get through it." Corbin had been designated the teams opening day starter against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Australia, but left Saturdays game against Cleveland in the seventh inning with forearm stiffness. He was 14-8 with a 3.41 ERA and made the All-Star team as a rookie last season. "Its a big blow to the individual that hes going through this," manager Kirk Gibson said. "As a team, weve all prepared for him to be a part of it. ... We didnt see anything coming." Gibson said left-hander Wade Miley will start Saturdays opener. Corbin said he had experienced minor tightness in the arm but the condition grew more serious with his final three pitches on Saturday "It felt like a small little shock in there. Nothing popped in there, just a different feel I wasnt used to, just really uncomfortable." Corbin, who barely made the 2013 opening day roster, had a sensational start to last season, opening 9-0 and making the All-Star team. He struggled down the stretch, though, pitching a longer season than he ever had experienced. Now, at age 24, Corbin faces the biggest challenge of his career. "Theres only two options," he said, "taking six weeks off, (then) rehabbing for six weeks, or having Tommy John." General manager Kevin Towers said there were three "in-house" candidates to join the rotation -- top prospect Archie Bradley, right-hander Randall Delgado and Josh Collmenter, who normally is the long reliever. Corbin returned this season as the No. 1 starter, anointed early by Gibson to go in the opener. He had made an off-season trip to Australia to promote the game. Gibson said there will be plenty of time on the long flights to and from Australia to discuss the situation. Corbin said he has talked to teammates Daniel Hudson and Matt Reynolds about how to deal with the injury. Both are recovering from the same surgery that Corbin may have. Hudson needed a second operation. Reynolds said he knows how Corbin is feeling. "Its probably one of the low points in your career," Reynolds said. "Its a major, serious injury and youre at the very beginning thinking its going to be a long time. Its a tough day. Theres a million things going through your mind." Miley, who wasnt even scheduled to make the Australia trip, was the obvious choice to replace Corbin, Gibson said. Miley was 10-10 with a 3.55 ERA last season after going 16-10 as a rookie in 2012. "Obviously you never want to see anything like that happen to any of your teammates," Miley said. "Its unfortunate. Hes a big part of this team. .. But I guess its something youve got to deal with, and you move on." Adidas NHL Jerseys . Still, Inter moved one point ahead of Parma in the race for fifth place and the final Europa League spot. Udinese remained 14th, 11 points above the relegation zone. Inter was beaten 2-1 by Atalanta at home on Sunday and has won only seven of 16 matches at the San Siro this season, as the squad seems to still be searching for its identity under new owner Erick Thohir and first-year manager Walter Mazzarri.CHICAGO -- Jason Hammel is certain the Cubs are better than their record so far. Hammel pitched seven strong innings, Mike Olt hit a three-run home run and Nate Schierholtz drove in a pair of early runs to lead the Cubs to a 9-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. "With a doubt," he said. "Weve played a lot of close ballgames where we could have come out on the other end. Were a young team and well figure out how to win those ball games pretty soon." Hammel (3-1) allowed just one run and four hits without walking a batter in seven innings to lower his ERA to 2.60. "Very nice job," Cubs manager Rick Renteria said. "He got some groundball double plays when he needed to. Made some pitches when he needed to. It was pretty efficient." Olt still is hitting below .200 for the season (.195), but has four homers and nine runs batted in despite not playing every day. The Cubs, whove won three of four to improve to 7-12, have won back-to-back games for the first time this season. They last won consecutive games on Sept. 9 and 10 of last season against the Cincinnati Reds. Their last consecutive home wins came on Sept. 4 and 6 against Miami and Milwaukee. Brandon McCarthy (0-4) lowered his ERA from 7.11 to 6.23 because only one of five runs allowed was earned. He yielded seven hits in five innings. Arizona has dropped four straight and has the worst record in the majors at 5-18. "It was a carbon copy of the game (Monday)," Arizona manager Kirk Gibson said. "We made an error there, gave them life and then Brandon got behind in the count 3-1 and Olt hit a ball down over the plate, a pretty big pop into that wind. "We didnt mount any pressure again offensively so I dont know what to tell ya," he said. In the third inning, Luis Valbuena stroked a one-outt double to left-centre field and then scored two batters later on a two-out single by Schierholtz. Cheap Jerseys China. In the fifth, Schierholtz drove in Valbuena again, this time on a sacrifice fly to right field, for a 2-0 lead. Valbuena led off the inning with a single, went to second on a groundout and then reached third as Arizona second baseman Martin Prado dropped Anthony Rizzos grounder for an error. The Cubs took advantage. Given the extra out, Starlin Castro singled to put two runners on and Olt followed with a homer into the right field bleachers for a 5-0 lead. "I think it probably helped me," Olt said of the wind. "I wasnt trying to hit a home run. I was just trying to put the ball in play and hit it hard." Arizona finally got on the board against Hammel in the sixth when Tuffy Gosewisch led off with a homer. The Cubs then broke things open with four runs in the bottom of the eighth, while the Diamondbacks got one back in the ninth.
