Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane is expected to begin skating on his own this weekend as recovers from a lower-body injury. Jets head coach Paul Maurice said Thursday Kane is progressing well but has not skated since suffering the injury. The 23-year-old collided knee-on-knee with teammate Mark Scheifele early in the first period of the Jets October 9 victory over the Arizona Coyotes.
